With my passion and knowledge of Sephardic songs, I offer classes open to anyone interested in Judeo-Spanish/Ladino music and culture. I have performed and taught Sephardic songs in several venues across the UK and South America including the Jewish Music Institute Song School, KlezFest, New North London Synagogue (London), Central Synagogue (London) and City Lit amongst others.
In a relaxed environment my students learn traditional songs, romances, love songs, wedding songs as well as songs relating to the Jewish festivals. A suitable repertoire is agreed given each student's interests and lessons have a strong emphasis on vocal technique to encourage a natural, beautiful and authentic sound.
Classes can also include instrumental accompaniment by percussion and guitar as required.
Students from all backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome. Whether you want to connect with your Jewish Sephardic heritage, learn more about Judeo-Spanish/Ladino songs, want to improve your singing and learn something new, or are a professional wanting to improve your pronunciation and technique in this repertoire, please contact me.
Individual lessons or small groups sessions can be arranged.
